A new range of ductile iron pipe approved to AS/NZS 2280 has been launched onto the NZ market. Manufactured by one of the world's leaders in ductile iron pipe production, the Hydrotite™ standard range is available in sizes from 100mm - 750mm diameter, but pipe up to 3000mm diameter can be produced to order.
Suitable for potable water reticulation, pressure sewer lines or irrigation schemes, the pipes have both an external and internal coating system to protect the inner core from corrosion throughout their design life. The standard range has an internal lining of cement mortar, and an external coating of metallic zinc and bituminous paint, with a polyethylene sleeve also available if required for additional protection.
